I finally finished blocking the Fiesta Tea set over the weekend. I thought I had lost my sugar bowl, so I had to do a bit of hunting before I found it behind one of my end tables. I am quite happy with the results. Here is a close up of the teapot. I need to do a little re-blocking on the lid. The cup I used to block the teapot was a bit wider at the top than at the bottom so consequently the teapot took the same shape. Right now the lid falls right into the teapot. I am going to try washing the starch out of the lid first and seeing if I can get it a little bigger. I really don't want to have to knit any of the pieces over again. As much as I enjoyed this project, I don't have the energy to face knitting one more of those little circles that serves as the base of all of the pieces. I need a break from it. At some point when I can face those circles again I want to make two more cups and saucers. I just want to use the commute time I was using for these to try socks or something.
I promised some pictures of the goodies my Secret Pal 2 sent. I love the colors of the Opal yarn. My LYS doesn't carry Opal so seeing this was a first for me. The colors aren't clear in the photo , but the yarn's colors are very similar to my blog. Light and dark blues with a hint of green. So beautiful. The stitch markers are also blue and green (with a bit of pink). So summery and a bit preppy. I love them!
I have news about my Harlot poncho, but I will save that for tomorrow. Tonight I don't plan on getting much knitting done. I have my first Yoga class since March. My town's recreation department is hosting a class, and the rate was much cheaper than I had been paying at the last place. I will have to see how the class itself is.
Hope yoga went well! I have a tough time with it.. I can't even touch my toes on a good day but I still like doing it every now and then. The tea set looks great!! Is it for you or a gift??

The tea set is so cute. You have inspired me to knit a set.
